Trondheim’s most active and fascinating improv group, and the only group doing improv in English!
Since August 2016 Gibberish has become an association (“forening” in Norwegian). You can find our statutes here: 2016/2017 | 2017/2018.
When & Where
We have shows two Saturdays per month at Stammen Café & Bar in Trondheim. Feel free to stop by and watch us in action 🙂
Also, you can join our open practices: Every Monday from 19.00h – 21.00h at “Klubben” at Kultursenteret ISAK (Prinsens Gate 44).
Exclusive Shows and Workshops
We also provide workshops on teambuilding and collaboration or entertainment tailored for your purposes. We have entertained at festivals, seminars, private parties or at “julebord” in Trondheim, and we also have done teambuilding workshops for various research communities at NTNU. Please contact us for further information! See also our flyer for more info.
Board Members 2024-2025
Stella Millili
Theatre struck her as lightning about fifteen years ago and since then she has been passionately in love with anything theatrical and improvised. She enjoys playing, surprises, and learning which have all led her to becoming a researcher and a teacher. She finds meaning in life by contributing to community building and spreading the love for Improv.
Laertis Vaso
Laertis believes that succeeding in failing in improv is better than failing to succeed in improv.
Håkon Andreas Landsend Monsen
Håkon likes improv and guitar and kind, funny people 🙂 He's been with Gibberish since the start of 2024 and he appreciates our community a whole lot. In his experience, the power of improv is real. He believes that through it, like minded people are brought together and friendships are formed, and that through it, we get to laugh and smile and nourish our playful side in a positive and generous environment ♥️
Thomas Litherland
Thomas finds joy and meaning in spreading the good word of improv. Lately he has fallen in love with musical improv and enjoys dabbling in that, too. Also, he improvises his way through life - like you probably do most of the time!
Phylischa Caithlina Esmé Hellemons
Phylischa is a dutch girl, who has lived in Trondheim as part of her studies in Special Needs Education. Gibberish is the place where she made lots of friends and had many amazing experiences. Its because of this that she is now committed to keep contact even from abroad. Right now she works as a Special Needs Pedagogue in the Netherlands. In her free time she loves to dance, make music and ofcourse play lots and lots of improv.
Marius Korsnes
Marius is currently grandmaster of gibberish and is generally passionately improvising life.
He is an islander who loves to discuss, dance, play chess, brew beer and, naturally, to improvise.
He also works as a researcher within technology and society at NTNU and wants to integrate more improv into teaching and research, and to make the world more sustainable through improv.
Hi.
I have signed up for a studium in acting.
The rehearsal will be January 22 and I have
been told that its good to have some experience with improtheater. Since I have none I wonder if its possible to join Gibberish a few times before the rehearsal to learn a little about it.
Best regards
Trine Bakken
