On Thursday January 28, Jeanne Lambin will hold a workshop on storytelling at Café Nim.
Workshop Description:
Everyone has a story to tell. Most people have many stories to tell. Whether for performance, presentation, persuasion or for just entertaining your peers, learning how to tell your story and how to tell it well is truly empowering. In this fun, interactive workshop we will help you develop your unique voice, find your story, craft it, and tell it well.
Additional Details:
Participants will be introduced to the basics of story structure, will mine their memories for long-dormant stories and will learn simple ways for telling authentic tales to a range of audiences. Participants need not prepare a story in advance but if they have one, they are welcome to bring it. Ideally, it should be no longer than six minutes. Those with no experience, a little bit, or lots of it are equally welcome. Please bring a pen and paper.

About Jeanne Lambin:
Jeanne Lambin is a storyteller, improviser, writer, presenter, award-winning educator and the founder of Lamb Ink a small, Hong Kong based company which teaches individuals and organizations improvisation, presentation skills and storytelling.
A native of Chicago, Ms. Lambin studied at iO (then Improv Olympic). She is proud to consider the improv capital of the world home. She has performed, presented and conducted workshops in the US, Europe and Asia. Ms. Lambin’s workshops have been described as “amazing,” “powerful,” and “great fun.” Her work has been featured in the Hong Kong’s Top Notch Storytelling Festival, Liar’s League Hong Kong, Literary Death Match, the Art’s House World Voices Presents, Mamagushi Shanghai, the Moth Chicago, Story Lab and This Much is True. Ms. Lambin is the emcee of Liar’s League Hong Kong and a member of Hong Kong Storytellers and the Applied Improvisation Network. She performs as part of Hong Kong’s People’s Liberation Improv and is also a proud member of the Shanghai-based improv team, ZMACK.
She also produces random events and storytelling shows. Her most recent show, The So Long Show was described as, “one of the most interesting nights in Hong Kong, ever”
She has also worked as a location scout, tour guide, archaeologist, curator, tarot-card reader, busker and college professor. When not working, she enjoys travel, reading, kayaking and running, not necessarily in that order or at the same time.
